Southampton’s port is one of Europe’s leading cruise turn-around ports and the construction of its 5th terminal is already underway. The cruise terminal is being built in the port’s Western Docks at 102 Berth and will be ready to welcome the world’s biggest ships from summer 2021.

We are working at Dock Gate 10 for the clients Woodmace and Brymore. These photographs are portraying the new terminal and our Tyrolit FSD1274 3-Speed Diesel self-propelled 74Hp floor saw, sawing 280mm r/c fibre concrete some 600m long. All areas that required cutting had to be CAT scanned for any services before work commenced this is to eliminate the risk of service strikes. The Tyrolit floor saw is capable of cutting to depths of 480mm in a very short time period and is a real asset to our company. Our operatives had to use a water bowser and pump system as the supply was to far away to run hose pipes.  Overall, the job is progressing very well and we are all looking forward to a new terminal at the famous Southampton docks.
