Weymouth Sea Wall Track Saw
This contract was carried out for a client down in Weymouth. We had to saw cut an old jetty using our Hilti Group TS20 and Tyrolit floor saw. The slab consisted of a 400mm deep reinforced slab that was sat on a hardwood frame and a number of piles that were driven into the seabed. Slurry control was essential as we had to minemise the contamination of the sea water.
A crane was in attendance to lift out the sections of slab once cut. We installed drop-in anchors to attach the lifting eyes to the slab after they had passed a pull-out test. It was a bit of a challenge to control the slurry, but we achieved the end result of completing the job with zero safety issue, and a happy customer.
