Wire Sawing Cheltenham – This project required us to cut this parapet into manageable sections for removal using an excavator.
We had to cut a chase in the back of the parapet using our Hilti DCH150-SL as we found a chamfer when they dug out the back. This wasn’t supposed to be there but as we all know things are never what they seem and we always do our best to overcome the unexpected! We then drilled two holes each end with our DD350CA and dropped the wire into the chase, thread it through the holes and around the directional wheels, then back to the WS15 Wire saw as you can see from the pictures. We then pulled roughly 2metres along the parapet horizontally, then adjusted the wire and wheels vertically to cut it into manageable sizes for removal. We repeated this process until all the parapet was removed and another great job from Greg and Liam…keep it up lads!
